Power Aid Donation from Ergon Energy

As a result of having been nominated by John Gunzler through the Power Aid program, the MPC received a cheque for $2,000 from a representative of Ergon Energy. The Power Aid initiative launched by Ergon Energy in 2004 is a simple concept that involves work teams accruing points
as rewards through recognition of their safe work practices which Ergon Energy then converts to cash at a dollar per point ratio. Each work team gets to nominate a local charity of their choice to which they can donate their accrued Power Aid cash. Thanks go to John and his work team for
nominating us for this donation.

New Building Update

We are pleased to advise that we have received $100,000 from the State Government to assist with our project. This could not have been possible without the efforts of Jim Pearce. We would sincerely like to thank Jim for the support that he has given us.
We have also received the $40,000 promised by the Banana Shire Council as well as having the transfer of the land to the Volunteer Group finalised. We appreciate the help that Neville Ferrier has given us to expedite this. We are now awaiting the result of an application to Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund.
